Here’s a quote from the Big Book of AA:
“What we really have is a daily reprieve contingent on the maintenance of our spiritual condition. Every day is a day when we must carry the vision of God’s will into all of our activities.”
For most alcoholics, it’s a reprieve from the insanity of that first drink. For most people, it’s a reprieve from the insanity of doing the same thing over and over again, expecting different results.
When I stay close to the God who loves me, things change, and I am better able to deal with the insanity that goes on in my head. So, my spiritual condition is in good shape based on my willingness to be close to the God who loves me; and, to trust that loving God to guide me all through the day.
I have also learned to take a “pause” throughout the moments of my day! This pause can be a breath, a moment to reflect, or just a simple word - God help me!
This pause gives God’s love a moment! This pause allows God to make a way for me not to be the selfish, self-centered jerk my mind is telling me to be! I am still working on this aspect of daily living! A lifetime project it is!
God is love! Trust God no matter what and be open-minded and willing, to let a loving God guide you through the moments of today! Pause when needed!
Love to Live, Live to Love! Peace y’all!
So appreciate your effort of writing this every day.
